This Copper thingy

For these last months, planning, designing, managing and renovating our French house has meant scouring the net for fresh ideas. Budget?. Not really, as good design comes with a price. But I love a bargain or two, and my prime excitement is finding one lone object or piece of furniture which I can use in a casual way without anyone noticing that I got it for a cheat price rather than breaking my purse.

How do I go about it?

First of all, I have to say that I have been very lucky to have lived and visited the side of the world where products are made from scratch, where multinationals operate their factories to sell to the other side of the world, which is where I live. The consumer world. So, familiarity with what I see in local markets at a fraction of a price in those countries and recognising them with labels in the world I live in. In fact, most of these products go around being placed and sold in different outlets under brand names with a little alteration, addition, a logo here and there, but the stuff remains the same. many would disagree with me, but try out any designer product with a high street household item, take for example, the trendy and happening Copper everything, you can find them in all shops looking exactly the same. Because it is copper, a highly durable metal, it sometimes looks a bit too good to be true when I pick one item from a High street shop or the supermarket, Oh Yes! they sell them even in ASDA.

So, open your eyes and nip the best while you can. They all are gorgeous and will look fab in your home.
